How to Start an Entrepreneur Company in 2024: A Step-by-Step Guide
I'm a co-owner of School.com, where we assist several thousand new individuals every month in starting off their first business on the internet. At present, one out of two people who establish a paid community at School ends up making their first dollar. This is a procedure that I am going describe for you and it does work.
This framework consists of five parts and two bonuses – one is advanced while the other helps you understand what to do next in order to get your first dollar.
I will begin with the “what” part which involves stating the true essence of a business. I apply a concept called Three Ps Framework. One of these three P’s is usually behind almost every business:
1. Pain: Something you personally went through and had to overcome.
⦁ Example: I have a friend with nine kids. She developed a system for quickly making lunch for all of them. That might be the kernel of an idea for a business.
2. Profession: What you do or did to pay the rent.
⦁ Example: One registered dietitian woman resigned and started teaching other dietitians how to bill insurance—all literally turning her professional knowledge into a business.
3. Passion: Things you are constantly interested in: articles you read, YouTube videos you watch, podcasts you listen to.
⦁ For example: I was passionate about fitness, which made me start a gym.
Do not worry if you hit on the perfect pick the very first time. The key is to get off the ground at any idea and iterate according to feedback. The five-step process I am going to take you through will help you to get to the best of your bad idea as fast as possible.
First, once you have your first P, we follow up with the second step, and that is to determine the 'who'.
There will be three categories into which the who's will fit:
1. People like you
2. People you've helped before, whether for money or not
3. People you think are underserved
For example, Spanx was created out of a personal problem, and Facebook began as a platform for college kids.
Now, get specific with your target audience. These next five frames will really help you nail down your avatar:
1. Age
2. Gender
3. Profession
4. A problem or a pain
5. Interest or passion
Pick at least three to define a clear avatar. The more specific you get, the more you're able to charge for your services.
Now, the third step is how. There are two parts here:
1. Upside: All the good stuff that your product/service will help them achieve.
⦁ Make their lives easier, guarantee outcomes, make results come faster, and . . describe their dream scenario.
2. Downside: The bad stuff you help them avoid.
⦁ Talk about the risks, slow processes, sacrifices, and the hard work they won't j have to go through with your solution.
Now let's put all of this together with step four, the combine. It's this simple five-step formula:
"I help [who] get [good stuff] without [bad stuff]."
For example, "I help 35-year-old male accountants create a new income stream without sacrificing their current job security."
Then for the advanced bonus, isolate a unique mechanism that packages your solution differently than anybody else in the marketplace. A unique mechanism creates a clear blue ocean where nobody can really compete with you.
And that's the framework! If you liked this, head over to School.com/games to start building your first business with our mentoring.
